Our Process:

BCPH can offer value-engineering, analysis of buildability, performance; offer construction solutions and rough budgeting when included as part of the project design team. BCPH creates 3D models and a full set of 2D shop drawings from the architect and engineering drawings.

Construction drawings are done in-house using Cadworks, which links our shop drawings to robotic wood cutting equipment wood cutting equipment. The ability to create 3D drawings assists in developing concepts, increasing precision, creating accurate pricing, identifying potential problems prior to construction. It also facilitates coordination and timing between different trades on-site as well as optimizing material use resulting in less waste.

Panel fabrication commences once the shop drawings have been approved. Working in a controlled environment protects the materials from weather, provides access to advanced tooling, and increases precision and quality control. BCPH will provide a full installation team for onsite work, or supervise onsite carpenters to ensure proper component assembly.

Our Experience:

Our experience includes dozens of custom homes from entry-level budgets to very complex, high-end construction. We have also provided prefabricated packages on several commercial projects including the Nadleh Community Centre in Fraser Lake, BC (22,000 SF), and the award-winning Audain Museum in Whistler (55,000 SF).

We have supplied and installed high-efficiency packages ranging from standard local code envelope requirements to full Passive House standard, including the Rainbow duplex in Whistler, the first registered Passive house built in Canada.

Our Shop:

Featured on Architizer and winner of many environmental and architectural awards, our new 16,000 square foot shop is surrounded by farms, equestrian properties and the beautiful mountains in Pemberton, BC. It is 25 minutes from the Resort Municipality of Whistler.

Our manufacturing facility includes an office area, boardroom and service spaces designed to the stringent Passive House standard. Our shop space consists of two parallel bays equipped with separate overhead cranes, framing tables; robotic fabrication equipment as well as cellulose insulation blowing equipment.

Our installation allows fabrication to occur in a controlled building environment, which increases precision, quality control and efficiency.

The superstructure for our shop and offices was prefabricated offsite by our carpenters and erected in only eight days.
